One or two sessions usually clear it. The final result appears two to four weeks later once the scab comes off, because new skin takes that long to form. When there are many lesions, doing all of them at once makes recovery harder, so it is split across sessions.

Flat warts are caused by a virus and can spread or recur, so a wide area is usually cleared at once — anything left behind becomes a starting point for spreading again. Skin tags and milia are unrelated to a virus but can still form anew, influenced by constitution and friction.

Downtime of five to ten days is needed. A scab forms and falls off during that time, and leaving it alone lets new skin grow fully underneath so less of a mark remains. Newly healed areas are vulnerable to UV and pigment easily, so keep up sun protection even after the scab is gone.
