One session lasts six to twelve months. The neck turns and bends all day, so it absorbs faster than the face. A thin product is laid in a shallow layer, so the volume is small to begin with, and holding the result means topping up relatively often.

Downtime is mild at one to three days, with swelling and bruising for a few days. Neck skin is thin with little tissue beneath to cushion it, so injection marks show through easily; it is therefore placed a little at a time rather than in quantity. Avoid rubbing the neck hard for a few days.

Vertical cords that stand out when you lift your chin come from muscle, so they are treated with botulinum. Horizontal creases come from thinning skin, so they are filled. The two often occur together, so they are approached separately, with the order and interval set at the consultation.
